Let’s Raise the Roof—Together!
The Livery has long been a gathering place for our community—a space where we come together for arts, history, celebrations, and shared experiences. But right now, this special place is in need of our help.
Last winter’s storm caused major damage to our antique metal roof, and to keep the building safe and welcoming for everyone, we must replace it. In line with our mission “to engage in preservation and revitalization efforts related to historic properties and landmarks to ensure the protection of our architectural and cultural heritage,” we’ll be restoring the roof with architectural lifetime shingles that honor the historic character of this 1890s building. The new insulated roof will also make The Livery warmer and more comfortable for year-round community use.
We’re excited to share that Queen City Roofing will begin work this fall, with the goal of completing the project before winter weather arrives. The total cost of the roof is $106,000, and we’ll be raising funds until we reach that goal.
This building stands because of you—our neighbors, friends, and supporters—who attend events, volunteer, donate, and breathe life into this space. With your help, we can “Raise the Roof” and keep The Livery thriving as a welcoming community hub for generations to come.
Every contribution makes a difference, and we are deeply grateful for all the ways you support this place we share.
